[Tokyo Revengers] Here is the character strength ranking criteria!
(C)Ken Wakui/Shueisha/Tokyo revengers-anime
The criteria for ranking the strength of the characters in Tokyo Revengers is basically based on the depiction of fights and battles in the series, and their victories and defeats.
- Descriptions of fights and battles
- Victory or defeat in the fight
- Other overall judgment
In particular, victories and defeats are important factors, so we decided that
On the other hand, if a character has lost in the past, but later succeeded in getting revenge, the most recent win/loss result is given priority.
However, not all characters have fought each other in the series, so for those who have no record of fighting each other, the results of fights with other characters are used.
Its example is as follows.
[Tokyo Revengers] Character strength ranking! Who’s the strongest?
Let’s take a look at the Tokyo Revengers character strength ranking from the bottom.
This time it’s a Top 25 strength ranking, so let’s start with No. 25.
No.25: Shion Madarame
The 25th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Shion Madarame.
He is a member of the “S62 Generation“, which is known as the most evil generation.
In the story, he is the 9th president of the Black Dragon, then he became the Four Heavenly Kings of Tenjiku, finally he became No.5 of Rokuhara Tandai.
He is one of the most brutal members of the S62 generation, and in his works he continuously beats his unconscious opponents with a weapon, or approaches them from behind on a motorbike and beats them with an iron pipe.
As you can see, Shion is basically afraid of surprise attacks and weapon attacks, but he is not as good in fights as the other “S62 generation” and their captains.
In the series, Shion is a typical victim role, and in many places he plays the role of a forerunner, as shown below.
- He was defeated by the newly founded Tokyo Manji gang.
- He was KO’d by Peh-yan in the first round of the Kanto Incident.
- He was KO’d by Keizo Arashi of Brahman.
Of course, in general, Madarame Shine is strong, but compared to the fierce fighters in Tokyo Revengers, he’s not as good.
No.24: Kazutora Hanemiya
The 24th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Kazutora Hanemiya.
Kazutora is the number 3 of Valhalla, and together with Shuji Hanma, he was one of the leaders of the 300 members.
He was also originally the founding member of the Tokyo Manji gang. And although he was not as strong as Keisuke Baji in fights, he was probably quite strong.
There is no scene in the work where he fights properly in an one-on-one, and the following is about the battle of Kazutora.
- He KO’d Hansen by surprise attack.
- He attacked Mikey in a three-man battle with Chome and Chombo though, he lost.
As for Mikey, his opponent was just too bad…
No.23: Hakkai Shiba
The 23rd strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Hakkai Shiba.
Hakkai is the vice-captain of 2nd division in Tokyo Manji gang, and he likes Takashi Mitsuya so much that he calls him “Taka-chan”.
He is usually a kind-hearted man, but when it comes to fighting, he shows his strength by using his strong right fist, which he uses to his advantage of tall.
In the battle of Christmas, he overcame the fear of Taiju Shiba and came out of it.
And in “Kanto Incident”, although he was no match for the Haitani brothers, he showed his strength to fight against common soldiers.
No.22: Chifuyu Matsuno
The 22nd strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Chifuyu Matsuno.
Chifuyu Matsuno is Takemichi’s sidekick, and is a very frequent character in the series, supporting Takemichi with his strength as the vice-captain of Tokyo Manji gang’s 1st division.
As a first year junior high school student, Chifuyu was so strong that he could beat up even his senior by two years.
Then he was surrounded by 20 gangs, he was able to fight back and beat some of them.
In “Kanto Incident”, Chifuyu fought against Kanji Mochizuki, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Tenjiku, and we ranked him 22nd because of his fighting ability.
No.21: Smiley (Nahoya Kawada)
The 21st strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Smiley (Nahoya Kawata).
Smiley is the captain of 4th division in Tokyo Manji gang, and although he always has a cheerful smile on his face, he is actually a unique character who is always angry in his heart.
Smiley doesn’t have many battle scenes and his battle record is as follows.
- He defeated Kakucho(went easy on him).
- He was defeated by Kanji Mochizuki when he was the president of “Sugoaku(Twin Evil)”.
So at least he’s not as strong as Tsuruchou and Mochizuki Kanji, and he’s also smaller than the other captains of Tokyo Manji gang, which is why we ranked him 21th.
[Tokyo Revengers] Smiley and Angry are twin! Their personalities are opposite!
No.20: Pah-chin (Haruki Hayashida)
The 20th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Pah-chin (Haruki Hayashida).
Pah-chin was the captain of 3rd division in Tokyo Manji gang, but he was arrested for stabbing Nobutaka Osanai in a fight with Moebius, and left early in the story.
Peh-yan said that “Pah-chin is the kind of guy who takes on entire teams solo and kicks all their asses.“, which shows that he’s a force that no ordinary delinquent can match.
In addition to being strong enough to destroy a team all by himself, he also has the toughness.
When he fought with Nobutaka Osanai, he never went down even when he was beaten so badly that his nose was broken.
No.19: Nobutaka Osanai
The 19th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Nobutaka Osanai.
Nobutaka Osanai fought with Tokyo Manji gang just before the battle of 8/3, where he fought with Pah-chin and Mikey.
His footwork and punching power are a threat due to his boxing background, and Pah-chin, who is one of Tokyo Manji gang’s best martial artists, is unable to do anything but get beaten up.
On the other hand, the scene where Mikey’s high kick KO’d him in one shot left such a strong impression on me that I can’t help but think of him as weak character.
However, that was because Mikey was an unbelievable opponent, and his strength deserved to be the leader of Shinjuku.
No.18: Takashi Mitsuya
The 18th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Takashi Mitsuya.
Takashi Mitsuya is the captain of 2nd division in Tokyo Manji gang, and his strength has made him popular among the delinquents of Tokyo.
He is only 170cm tall, so he is not a big guy, but with his sense of fighting style and unyielding mentality, he is strong enough to fight on equal terms with Taiju Shiba and Kanji Mochizuki.
By the way, Takashi Mitsuya is the least likeable delinquent in the series.
He’s gentle with Takemichi when they first met, takes care of his two younger sisters, and is the head of the handicraft club at school.
Takashi Mitsuya, one of the best and most conscientious big brother characters of the Tokyo Revengers, was ranked 18th this time.
No.17: Rindou Haitani
The 17th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Rindou Haitani.
Together with his older brother Ran, Rindou is known throughout Tokyo as the “Haitani Brothers“.
Before becoming the four heavenly kings of Tenjiku, Rindou did not belong to any particular team, but was in charge of Roppongi with Ran.
Then Rindou is also a member of the “S62 Generation”, which is a generation of extreme evil.
His fighting style is characterized by his extremely flexible body, which allows him to move in an irregular manner, and he excels in tackling and joint fighting.
His moves are so good that Hakkai and Angry couln’t catch him at all, and his joint techniques are especially threatening to delinquents with no martial arts experience, as they don’t know how to return or escape them.
One of the strongest in Roppongi, Rindou Haitani is ranked 17th.
[Tokyo Revengers] Haitani brothers are the strongest in Roppongi! The strength of Ran and Rindou!
No.16: Ran Haitani
The 16th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Ran Haitani.
Together with his younger brother Rindou, they are known throughout Tokyo as the “Haitani Brothers” and are infamous for being part of the “S62 Generation“.
Ran and Rindou run Roppongi and are so charismatic that they are said to attract 100 people easily.
While Rindou excels at tackling and joint-fighting, Ran’s main style of fighting is based on physical abilities and the use of weapons such as baton.
One of the most frightening things about the Haitani brothers is their ability to work in perfect harmony.
- Rindou restrains his opponent with joint techniques.
- Ran beats him up.
The Haitani brothers are strong enough on their own, but their true strength lies in their combination.
[Tokyo Revengers] Haitani brothers are the strongest in Roppongi! The strength of Ran and Rindou!
No.15: Mocchi (Kanji Mochizuki)
The 15th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Mocchi (Kanji Mochizuki).
Before joining Tenjiku, Mocchi was the president of a Kawasaki team called Jugem. At that time, he defeated both Smiley and Angry with overwhelming strength.
He is also a member of the “S62 Generation“, and his strength has made him a well-known celebrity among the delinquents of Tokyo.
He has a huge body, both in length and width, and his power and durability are unbelievable.
The following is a summary of his battle record.
- He KO’d Smiley when he was the president of Jugem.
- He KO’d Angry when he was the president of Jugem.
- He KO’d Chifuyu Matsuno in one shot (by surprise).
- He almost evenly matched with Takashi Mitsuya, but Mochizuki is more comfortable.
- Chifuyu Matsuno tried for revenge, but Mocchi is overwhelmed.
- Awakened Angry is KO’d Mocchi by a single shot.
Other than when he was one-shot KO’d by Awakened Angry, he has overwhelmed the Tokyo Manji gang members, which shows his strength.
No.14: Peh-yan (Ryohei Hayashi)
The 14th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Peh-yan (Ryohei Hayashi).
Peh-yan is the former vice-captain of 3rd division in Tokyo Manji gang, and after the battle of Christmas, he became the acting captain of 3rd division.
His strength has been described by Mitsuya Takashi as “Peh-yan is an idiot, but he’s stronger than me.”, and his pure strength surpasses even the captain of Tokyo Manji gang.
In fact, he defeated Shion Madarame in the first round in the “Kanto Incident”, and after that he defeated the members of Tenjiku.
Peh-yan, who showed his overwhelming strength in “Kanto Incident”, is ranked 14th.
No.13: Keisuke Baji
The 13th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Keisuke Baji.
Keisuke Baji was the former captain of 1st division in Tokyo Manji gang, but he died in “Bloody Halloween”.
His strength can be seen from the story.
- In the past, he destroyed 20 members of “Mandala” by himself.
- In “Bloody Halloween”, he single-handedly defeated 50 members of “Valhalla”.
He has shown a overwhelming strength of defeating dozens of people by himself, which shows that he is one of the strongest members of Tokyo Manji gang.
Although he narrowly missed the Top 10, Baji is ranked 13th.
No.12: Mucho (Yasuhiro Muto)
The 12th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Mucho (Yasuhiro Muto).
Mucho is the captain of 5th division in Tokyo Manji gang, and also has a special duty as a public morals officer.
This duty was given to him by Mikey because “Mucho is the strongest of all the captains of Tokyo Manji gang.“, and this statement alone shows how strong Mucho is.
Mucho is also a member of the “S62 generation“, and although his character is not as inhumane as the Haitani brothers or Shion Madarame, he has the strength befitting the “generation of extreme evil”.
His fighting style consists mainly of throwing Judo techniques, and in the past he has slammed his opponents into concrete, leaving them paralyzed.
Mucho, the strongest man among the captains of Tokyo Manji gamg, was ranked 12th.
[Tokyo Revengers] Mucho’s strength and battle record! How’s his height and size of body?
No.11: Taiju Shiba
The 11th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Taiju Shiba.
Taiju is the 10th president of the Black Dragon, and revived the Black Dragon, which had almost disappeared after the 9th president, Sion Madarame, was defeated by Tokyo Manji gang.
He brings the members together with his strength and violence, and has become a fearsome enemy to Tokyo Manji gang.
The reason for Taiju’s strength is his power and endurance, which is based on his overwhelming physical strength, and his record in the series is as follows.
- He KO’d Takemichi.
- He overwhelmed Takashi Mitsuya.
- He KO’d Hakkai Shiba.
- He almost KO’d Mikey.
- Mikey KO’d Taiju once by a high kick.
Although Mikey KO’d Taiju with one shot, Taiju was the first person in all the previous opponents to damage Mikey to the point of momentary unconsciousness.
In addition to his strength, Taiju’s violent nature, including his DV against the Shiba brothers, was impressive, and he is ranked 11th.
No.10: Angry (Souya Kawata)
The 10th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Angry (Souya Kawata).
Angry is Smiley’s twin brother, and is the vice captain of Tokyo Manji gang’s 4th division.
He is a character with a personality that is the complete opposite of Smiley, who always has a furious expression on his face but is super kind at heart, and because of their relationship as captain and vice-captain, Smiley is usually the stronger of the two.
However, when Angry “cries“, he enters the awakening mode and his fighting ability increases drastically. His strength is demonstrated in “Kanto Incident”.
- He KO’d Rindou Haitani with one shot.
- He KO’d Ran Haitani with a single blow.
- He KO’d Kanji Mochizuki with a left fist.
- He KO’d Mucho by destroying his throw arts.
So you can see that his strength is superior to the Tenjiku’s four heavenly kings is overwhelmingly.
After that, he was KO’d by Kakucho in one shot, but he can be called MVP in the sense that he turned the situation of “Kanto Incident” by himself.
[Tokyo Revengers] Angry awakens! Souya Kawata’s true strength is extraordinary!
No.9: Shuji Hanma
The 9th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Shuji Hanma.
Shuji Hanma is one of the most elusive characters in Tokyo Revengers, and as you can see below, he’s been shuffled around from team to team.
- Acting President of Moebius
- Vice President of Valhalla
- Captain of 6th division in Tokyo Manji gang
- Executive of Tenjiku
However, not only does he have a fluffy personality, but he also has tremendous fighting skills.
Shuji Hanma has very good kinetic vision, which allows him to scatter damage without taking his opponent’s attacks seriously.
He can withstand Draken’s attacks like a zombie, and at 192cm tall, he also has a lot of power, making him extremely good at both offence and defence.
In particular, he was able to withstand a long fight with Mikey in “83 Conflict” without being KO’d, which shows how strong he is.
[Tokyo Revengers] What Hanma’s tatoo means? Is he a mastermind and time leaper?
No.8: Kakucho
The 8th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Kakucho.
Kakucho is a fighting machine who is absolutely loyal to Izana Kurokawa and belongs to Tenjiku.
As the the Four Heavenly Kings, his strength is overwhelming.
- He KO’d Angry in one shot.
- He KO’d Inupi in a single blow.
- He KO’d Chifuyu in one shot.
In particular, it was shocking that he defeated even Angry, who had defeated the other Four Heavenly Kings of Tenjiku in one shot.
Izana Kurokawa even said that the other Four Heavenly Kings are nothing compared to Kakucho, and he is definitely the second strongest in Tenjiku.
[Tokyo Revengers] Kakucho’s characters, strength and battle record! He is hitto of Tenjiku!
No.7: Draken (Ken Ryuguji)
The 7th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Draken (Ken Ryuguji).
Draken is the Vice President of Tokyo Manji gang, and as Mikey’s good buddy and the big brother of Tokyo Manji gang, he is someone that everyone can rely on.
He is undoubtedly the second strongest fighter in Tokyo Manji gang after Mikey, and at 185cm(6′ 1″) tall and 75kg(165lb) in weight, he has the power which beyond the junior high school student.
His power was on full depicted against Shuji Hanma in “Bloody Halloween“, where he blew Shuji Hanma’s huge body nearly 10 meters away with a single straight right hand.
In addition, in the battle of Christmas, Draken alone sweeped 100 members of black dragons surrounding the outside of the church, showing his monstrous strength.
Drakken’s strength is so strong that he can only fight a few opponents in a friendly battle.
No.6: Izana Kurokawa
The 6th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Izana Kurokawa.
Izana Kurokawa is the president of Tenjiku, and he is also the strongest of the S62 generation, which is why the other members of the S62 generation are loyal to him.
Although he is not large and looks rather slender, his extraordinary athletic ability and sense of combat are reminiscent of Mikey.
In chapter 153 of volume 18 of the manga, he single-handedly defeated members of Tokyo’s top delinquents.
Furthermore, during the “Kanto Incident”, he KO’d Peh-yan in one shot, and was so strong that even Mikey was almost defeated.
Izana Kurokawa, the last boss and the strongest enemy of Tokyo Manji gang, is the 6th place.
No.5: Benkei(Keizo Arashi)
The 5th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Benkei (Keizo Arashi).
Benkei is one of the main members of the Brahman led by Senju Kawaragi, and he showed his power by using his huge body to his advantage, such as KOing Shion Madarame in one shot.
Benkei’s biggest charm is his toughness, and in chapter 213 of Tokyo Revengers, he took a punch from Kakucho and got back up as if nothing had happened.
Benkei was also the president of Ragnarok, one of the super huge groups that divided the Kanto region in the past.
Ragnarok was a team of 600 men, so strong that Takeomi Akashi said that Benkei and Waka were the two strongest fighters in Japan at the time.
Benkei’s strength has not faded in modern times and he is undoubtedly one of the best fighters of all time.
No.4: Waka(Imaushi Wakasa)
The 4th strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Waka (Imaushi Wakasa).
Waka is a one of the best fighters of the Brahman, along with Benkei, and uses an acrobatic style of fighting that is reminiscent of Senju Kawaragi.
While Waka may not be as tall or powerful as Benkei, he is one of the most physically powerful characters in the series, and is the embodiment of the saying “if it doesn’t hit me, it doesn’t matter”.
In chapter 213, he stands behind Kakucho without him noticing him at all, and his ability to mask his presence also makes him a strong candidate for surprise attacks.
Waka used to be the president of the “Koudou Rengo“, one of the super huge groups that divided the Kanto region in the past.
This group was made up of 12 teams, and they were rivals with Benkei for the supremacy of the Kanto region.
As we mentioned earlier, Takeomi Akashi said that Benkei and Waka were the two strongest fighters in Japan at the time, and their unquenchable strength makes them one of the strongest of the Tokyo Revengers, along with Benkei.
No.3: Senju Kawaragi
The 3rd strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Senju Kawaragi.
Senju Kawaragi is the leader of the Brahman, one of the 3 deities in Tokyo as of 2008, and claims to be the strongest.
Her hooded appearance is a mystery to many, but she is on a par with Mikey and South Terano, and in one of her works she performed an acrobatic kick in the air against South Terano.
In chapter 215 of Tokyo Revengers, one of the most shocking revelations in the series is that Senju Kawaragi is actually a girl.
[Tokyo Revengers] Senju Kawaragi’s gender is a man or woman? What’s the relation to Akashi and Sanzu?
Although she has the physical abilities of a girl, such as landing a blow on South Terano, she is still not as strong as South or Mikey in terms of weight and power.
No.2: Minami Terano(South Terano)
The 2nd strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Minami Terano (South Terano).
South is the representative of the Rokuhara Tandai, one of the 3 deities in Tokyo as of 2008.
The most striking feature of South is his ridiculously large body, who is over two metres tall.
He has the power to blow Draken several meters away with a single punch.
Along with Mikey and Senju Kawaragi, he’s definitely one of the strongest in the Tokyo Revengers.
No.1: Mikey (Manjiro Sano)
The strongest character of the Tokyo Revengers is Mikey (Manjiro Sano).
Mikey is so overwhelmingly strong that he no longer needs to be explained, and as you can see below, most of Mikey’s fights are one-shot KOs.
- Mikey KO’d Nobutaka Osanai with a high kick.
- Mikey KO’d Chome.
- Mikey KO’d Kazutora and Chombo at the same time with a high kick.
- Mikey KO’d Shuji Hanma with a high kick.
- Mikey KO’d Taiju Shiba with a high kick.
- Mikey KO’d Izana Kurokawa after a fierce battle.
- Mikey KO’d Kakucho in the 3 deities war.
- Mikey killed South Terano in the 3 deities war.
The secret to Mikey’s strength is his unbelievably destructive high kicks, his accuracy in hitting his opponent’s temples and his uncanny physical ability, regardless of his height.
The nickname “The Invincible Mikey” is not an exaggeration, and Manjiro Sano is the strongest man in the Tokyo Revengers.
